High School Vocal PROGRAM
Utah Valley Operafest's High School Vocal Fellowship Program is a prestigious opportunity tailored for young singers demonstrating exceptional potential in the field of classical singing. Designed to nurture emerging talent, this program selects a limited group of 4-8 promising singers between the ages of 14 and 19. Recipients will receive invaluable professional-level vocal and musical training.
Under the mentorship of an elite faculty, and alongside an international assembly of the finest pre-professional singers, participants will delve deep into the art of opera, a truly rare opportunity for this age group. They'll benefit from an intense course of private vocal lessons, master classes and coachings, covering crucial elements such as language, style, musicianship and vocal technique. The program's highlight is the chance to join the cast of Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, where they'll gain real-world experience as they perform in the chorus and understudy appropriate roles.

Admittance into this program is gained though participation in the Future of Opera Vocal Competition.
